I have turned the big 50 this year, yet I have never felt healthier or felt more in control of my life.

This has nothing to do with luck or good genes as I don’t believe in the concept of ‘luck’ and neither of my parents would be considered good role models as far as health is concerned.

My Approach

I started the All About Health range of foods 11 years ago in response to a lack of available healthy breakfasts. At that time most of the products on the supermarket shelves were manufactured by big corporate and were highly-processed, nutritionally deficient, sugary starch.
I introduced clean, nutritionally dense, sugar free foods, starting with 3 products.

My approach has been to create solutions in response to my clients’ needs.
We now have a range of 10 breakfast solutions that cater for every dietary requirement. We’ve increased our online offering to include a variety of legumes and pulses making All About Health your one stop shop.

A blog was the natural extension in response to years of consulting on matters of health and nutrition. This extensive repository of information is intended to guide people on their journey to attaining optimal health.

My Process

Our eco factory is based on our small holding in Farmall, keeping our carbon footprint to a minimum.
Throughout the years we have built great relationships with a multitude of suppliers from whom we purchase raw ingredients.
From locally grown delicious dried fruits from the Northern Cape to nuts grown in Limpopo and raw unfiltered honey from Gauteng, the produce is sourced from within Africa wherever possible with the aim of supporting small businesses.

My process remains as honest as it was when I started. Everything is hand made by a complement of 3 previously disadvantaged ladies who make all the magic happen.

Unique Framework

All my recipes were created by me. I spent weeks testing various mixes, feeding them to staff, friends and family, until the right combination was borne.
We were the first company in SA to use pure, raw honey in our granolas, despite the expense.
We were the first company in SA to use buckwheat and millet in our fully gluten free vegan muesli.
We were the first company in SA to make a granola using 85% dark chocolate and real pieces of orange.
We were the first company in the world to make functional foods with L-Glutamine and probiotics.
We were the first company in the world to make a fully ketogenic granola suitable for Banting lifestyles.

What does a nutrience dense diet look like?

Nutrient-dense foods are real and unprocessed, as opposed to chemically altered, man-made or synthetic ingredients. They provide plenty of vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants.

Today, it can be hard to obtain all the nutrients you need due to factors like mass production of processed foods, soil depletion and difficulty getting fresh, organic, local foods.

Some of the best ways to increase the nutrient density of your diet include purchasing seasonal/local produce, growing your own garden, and eating more healthy foods like leafy greens, berries and meat from pasture-raised animals.

Why do you support fasting so much?

We have to break free from the notion that we need to eat 3 meals a day. Fasting is one of the best ways in which to reboot the body and mind and to regenerate cells.

A window of 18 hours between meals (called Intermittent Fasting) is enough to reap the benefits.

Fasting for longer than 24 hours has been proven to be hugely beneficial in treating diabetes and degenerative diseases; it starves cancer cells and leaves them more vulnerable to destruction​​
