I have a 9m x 6m completley open plan home – I need some advice on how to place lighting around the home with a few areas spotlit ie on my desk and next to my bed,preferably locally supplied and in one package. I live in Cape Town on a small holding near to Atlantis. There is no kitchen or bathroom as yet – still looking for a supplier of a biological toilet system, which will be outside. Any advice? We have used only solar power for the last 30 years and have solar panels that supply most of our needs and a generator for machine shop tools.
Any advice on a small solar water heater – suitable for 1 person would also be much appreciated.

WOW what an amazing project. I have been looking for something like this to build 2 cottages in my garden…off the grid completely, rain water, grey water, perma culture gardening the works. I am so exited to see what you are doing and would love to meet and learn more!!
